PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

A young child learns through play and, with this in mind, RAINBOW offers you a comprehensive preschool concept. Within our program, children experience a large range of activities, which are geared to weekly/monthly themes.Cooperative and self-help skills are encouraged and introduced early in the year. Children explore in a relaxed atmosphere, which includes directed and non-directed guidance from the teacher.

 

 

RAINBOW OBJECTIVES:

1. To encourage social and cognitive development through fun, creative and stimulating activities.

2. To foster independence related to self-help skills.

3. To instill a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence through a non-competitive atmosphere in an individual and group setting.

4. To allow for optimum learning opportunities through hands on experiences.

5. To encourage children to express feelings, thoughts and ideas through art.

6. To develop fundamental motor and perceptual abilities.

7. To develop gross and fine motor skills through gym, music and dance.

8. To develop creative movement ability through explanation of movement activities coupled with visual and auditory stimuli.

9. To enhance autonomy and self-esteem through the development of new motor skills/activities.

10. To emphasize and develop the importance of listening.

11. To provide experiences and opportunities in instrument experimentation and other sound sources.

12. To develop an attitude toward singing that is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

In an environment where children are happy and involved, these goals are easily attainable.
